Sun/Soil
Not fussy about soil but prefers good drainage. Likes full sun to part shade. Very drought tolerant.

Germination/Sowing
Seeds can be direct sown in spring or fall, or started in flats in the spring.

Growing/Care
These very hardy and drought tolerant plants are easy to care for. They are herbaceous and can be cut back in the fall time if desired. Make sure to plant them where you want them permanently, as a small bit of root left in the ground will re-sprout.

Culinary Uses
The flowers are edible. The petals can be removed from the central flower head and sprinkled in salads, added to cake decorations, or the whole flower used as a garnish.
